Private Museum Description
Founded by Maurice and Paul Marciano, the Marciano Art Foundation is home to a collection of contemporary art (from the 1990s to present) and open to the public. With the mission to share forward-thinking and dynamic works of art with Los Angeles, the Marcianos opened the museum to share their collection, but to also transform a historic Los Angeles building, the former Scottish Rite Masonic Temple built by Millard Sheets. The foundation serves as an exhibition space, experimental forum for artists to develop new concepts, and installations.
